Short Bio

Xiangchun Chen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, supervised by Prof. Jiannong Cao, IEEE Fellow. Previously, he received the Bachelor Degree of Computer Science and Technology from Faculty of Computing, Harbin Institute of Technology in 2021.

His research interests currently focus on reliable and self-evolving Edge AI, including Edge AI systems, reinforcement learning, edge large language model inference, and autonomous agents.

Research Focus

• Reliable & Adaptive Edge AI. Learning-based decision-making for dynamic and resource-constrained edge environments.
• Edge LLM Systems. Efficient inference and state movement for large language models across distributed edge infrastructure.
• Self-Evolving AI Agents. Agents that can improve from interaction and deployment feedback while remaining dependable.
